Excel 2013 locks up "Loading Data Model"

I have been working with a pivot table that feeds from data table imported from Access. When I was using windows 7 everything worked fine. Since moving to Windows 10, if I attempt to do anything under the Data tab or with the Values position within the pivot table Excel locks up. In the lower right-hand part of the screen it shows "Loading Data Model...". I assume this extends from leaving the Add to Data Model checkbox checked when I imported the data table. When this happens, it not only locks up the instance of Excel that contains the pivot table, but all other instances of Excel that happen to be open at the time. I have tried to remove the pivot table and that results in Excel locking up as well. Is there a way to remove the data model and start over? I tried to use the Relationships button under the Data tab, but it is greyed out.

FYI, I figured out not necessarily the data model but a secondary issue I ran into when trying to rebuild. It pertained to Excel not retaining values that were copy and pasted while running a macro associated with a pivot table. Turns out that changing the order in which the fields (Row, Column, and Value) within the pivot table are populated and then unpopulated matters. Everything is working now at least for one cycle. Now to see if I can get it to repeat 30 plus times like it did before. Thanks for your help.

Have you performed repair of your Office installation?

Try repairing your Office installation. First try Quick Repair (takes 5 - 10 mins) , if that doesn't help then try Online Repair (Takes more than 30 mins but less than 1 hour in general)

Unfortunately I am on a government computer and require administrator support to perform the repair. I will submit a Help Desk ticket and see what happens. Thanks!
