Hi

I want to create a database that can manage my customers information, their orders, stock levels, product pricing, sales figures and so on.

Is there a template or a step by step turorial that can help me or should I be looking for a different program?

You can take a look at the Northwinds template that is available for Access. Access is certainly capable of doing everything you ask.

But Access is not a program you can just pick up and start using. There is a distinct learning curve required. If you are willing to take the time to learn and build you will have a tool that does exactly what you want.

If I were you (and possibly even for any veteran Access developer) I would look for a canned package that does 90% of what you need. I'm not sure if QuickBooks or some other program meets your specs but creating a complete solution like this would cost far more than what you would pay for a third party solution.
