I am trying to install a click to run version of MS Project 2016. It will not let me install as I have a windows installer MS Office Professional Plus. In order to  install Project I have to delete MS Office. My question is, is it necessary to in-install word/excel etc just in order to get a Project. How can I resolve this as I need all the programs and do not want to have to purchase Office again. It came installed on the computer at time of purchase so I have never seen any product keys or anything like that.

Don't uninstall if you don't have product key.

Apologies for trouble being faced by you.

C2R installation of Project 2016 on MSI Office is not possible. Relevant documentation is here - https://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/mt7...
