    Hi Aaron Singh,

    Thanks for your post.

For further understanding, we’d like to confirm with you whether this issue happens to all of your users when you add an alias email address to them. And please check whether you can use Exchange Admin Center to add an email address to a user mailbox, please follow the steps below:

    1. Recipients > Mailboxes.

    2.    In the list of user mailboxes, click the mailbox that you want to add an email address to, and then click Edit icon.

    3.    On the mailbox properties page, clickEmail Address.

    4.    Click Add icon, and then click SMTP to add an SMTP email address to this mailbox.

    5.    Type the new SMTP address in the Email address box, and then click OK.

    6.    ClickSaveto save the change.

And please test to add an email address using Exchange Management Shell:

    1. Connect to PowerShell : https://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/jj984289(v=exchg.160).aspx.
    2. Please refer to the steps in this article.

    Please keep us updated.

    Regards,

    Jason

    Hi Jason.

I don't have Recipients > Mailboxes. in the "Exchange Admin Center" link which just opens Office 365 account settings.

However I did try the PowerShell information you sent, got connected to "Exchange Online PowerShell"

Ran what appeared to be the correct command.

Got the same error message "A parameter cannot be found that matches parameter name 'EmailAddresses'."

I currently have a support ticket open in the Admin Center, the technician said he was going to "Reset the Exchange profile" or some such... and I should try again in a few hours, that was a few hours ago... so hopefully someone at Microsoft can figure out the software.

    Any ideas?

Currently email going to my domain goes nowhere...

So the technician helped me create another user with global admin, and we were able to edit the original user while logged in as the new temporary global admin user.

    So that's weird...
