Processes in Microsoft 365 for setting up Office apps, redeeming product keys, and activating licenses.
Hi,
This issue occurs due to intermittent network connection or the browser has corrupted cache that needs to reset. Just to verify, is this the first time that you’ll install Office on your computer? If yes, are you in a stage where you were redeeming the program or are you already on a download and install process?
As an initial recommendation, we suggest that you reset your browser. This is to further isolate the concern if this issue caused by corrupted cached that can be a reason why the installation interrupted. If you’re using the Internet Explorer, we suggest that you reset it by following these steps:
- Click the Start menu and type in Internet Options, and then click the first result.
- On the General tab, check mark Delete browsing history on exit and click the Delete button.
- Put the check mark to all options and click the Delete button.
- Go to the Content tab, click Clear SSL State button and click OK.
- Go to Advanced tab, click Reset button, check mark Delete personal settings and click Reset and then Close.
- Relaunch Internet Explorer and try to install Office 2016 again using it.
In addition, to reset other browsers you may contact the app support for further assistance on how this can be done accordingly.
We’ll keep an eye out for your response.
