Copy/paste in excel on ipad

how do you copy/paste from one execl spreadsheet to another excel spreadsheet? When i try to copy a column in which some cells have information and other cells that have no information, the pasted product collapses all the information poUtting all the cells which have information together.  Not pasted the same way they were copies. Any help out there with a workaround?

    Hi,

    We would appreciate if you could provide more details about your concern. Kindly answer following questions so we can isolate your concern:

    • How are you copying and pasting the information to another spreadsheet?
    • Can you send us a screenshot of the spreadsheet where the issue is happening? (Note: Make sure to hide/delete any important or private information you have on it.)

    In the meantime, kindly check this link and try the steps if it's different from the way you're copying and pasting the data

    I have looked at the link and that is exactly how i am cutting and pasting. I have used excel in windows for years with zero problems. However i cannot get it right with the ipad version.

    i do not know how to attach the pic of one spreadsheet where i copy from and a second pic from spreadsheet showing the result of the paste function. Please tell me how to send attachments

    Thank you for the information. To send a screenshot of the spreadsheet, kindly follow the steps below:

    1. Click the Reply button to show the reply box, then click the image icon as shown on the screenshot below
    2. Choose Browse and choose the picture from the folder where you've saved it.
    3. Click Upload to attach the picture.
    4. Once you're done with your reply, click Submit.

    We'll be waiting for the screenshot.

    In the first screenshot i have copied the information from the first spreadsheet, column H rows 8 through 18.  In the second screenshot i have copied this information on another spreadsheet to DJ row 6.  As you see it has not copied exactly. It has compressed all of the numbers together eliminating the rows which containted no information as shown in the forst spreadsheet
