It works in same presentation on Windows. But I see an exclamation point in the yellow triangle right after the numbers of slides. Can I fix that?

Hi Rena and John.

I tested in the Insider Fast build on a beta version of Mac OS. The video did play over 2 slides and honored my setting.

Hang on while I test in 10.10.5

In 10.10.5 with build 16.9 171206 of PowerPoint, I get the yellow triangle and can not play video over slides.

This means there is something different about either the video or something having to do with Mac OS in play here.

    Hi Jim,

I didn't change the number from "1" to more than "1" last time. I saw the settings is not greyed out so I assume it works. This time when I change the number to 2 or over, the yellow triangle shows up agian.

Can I confirm with you that are you able to play it across the slides? I think this should still not be possible. This feature can work well in PowerPoint for Windows version well as I know.

    Thanks,

    Rena

    Hi СтепанНью-Йоркский,

It seems the 16.8 version will not let the settings greyed out. However, when you change the after "1" slides to more than 1, the yellow triangle will show up again that playing video across the slides are not available for PowerPoint for Mac.

Please provide us the time to check agian about that.

    Thanks,

    Rena

    Hi СтепанНью-Йоркский,

To narrow down the issue, please provide the information below:

    1. Do you “Stop playing after N slides” via Slide Show tab > set up Show > Show Slides from X to X? If this is what you do, this feature works on both PC and Mac.
    2. What’s your OS version? For example: 10.12.6 or 10.13 High Sierra?
    3. What’s your PowerPoint for Mac version? You can go to PowerPoint > About PowerPoint to check it. Please update the Office 2011 for Mac to the latest version 14.7.7.
    4. Please provide a screenshot about the “exclamation point in the yellow triangle right after the numbers of slides”.

    Thanks,

    Rena
