I am not able to select multiple items not next to each other in my Word for Mac when I hold down the command key. I can only select one item at a time. This only seems to be happening with Word documents

Nice to know it's not my Mac. It will be great to get the update that fixes this problem!
Thanks Jim!
It's not your Mac. It's the current build of Word that's the problem. It will be fixed in the next update, which might come as soon as later today.
Well, I spent roughly 4 hours early this morning with a Microsoft Answer Tech and it appears he wasn't aware of the issue. He remotely uninstalled and reinstalled my newly purchased Office for Mac and that didn't fix the problem. Ended up suggesting that my Mac mini might have issues, but I doubt it-the command key works fine in other non-Microsoft applications. He was going to inform whatever department that deals with updates and/or fixes.
Very frustrating to say the least.
This is a known issue that will be fixed in the next update.
