I have a weird problem printing PowerPoint slides with presentation notes on them. I have some PP files that were created by someone else without notes and I
added the notes myself. When I try to print them, some slides will print correctly, but others will not. The slide itself that is supposed to be there is not there and the notes won’t print properly, only half of the first text line (the lower half!) appears
on top of the page along with some odd numbers that were not there to begin with, and nothing else on the page. I haven’t found a solution to this, so last time I had to copy my notes to a Word file and print them separately along with full page slides for
my reference which is really annoying to use.
When I searched online whether others had had this problem, I only found discussions about some problems with notes but nothing quite like this. Nevertheless,
I tried editing the Notes master after reading some of those discussions. The size of the text box was strangely large there in the files that didn’t print properly, but changing this did not resolve the problem. And anyway, I’m not really sure what affects
what in the Notes Master, since I am no expert in it and I’m not sure how it is supposed to work.
I use PowerPoint 2013 but the slides may have originally been created with another version because they were created a few years ago. I have resaved a new copy
of them for myself to edit so it may have been converted there too.
I am not sure whether that is relevant.
Any ideas on what to do?
