Eraser Doesn't Work

I use the drawing tools to draw on word documents a lot. At least, I used to until recently. For the past month or so, I have not been able to use the eraser tool to edit the things that I write. This is really inconvenient, and has just turned me off of using Word's drawing features entirely. Sometimes, even the drawing pen won't work, and it won't allow me to draw with touch screen input or mouse.

Is anyone else having this issue? Is there a way to fix it? I sat with customer support one day for two hours and she couldn't fix it. Finally I gave up and just decided not to use Word anymore for document editing. But, it would be nice to be able to use it again.

Hi Chelsey,

There are several factors to consider should you encounter issues with certain features in Word. One of the possible causes would be corrupted installation files. To better assist you, we need the answers to the following questions:

• Have you made any changes on your computer prior to this issue?
• Does the issue only happens on new documents?
• Have you tried uninstalling and reinstalling Office 2010?
