A family of Microsoft spreadsheet software with tools for analyzing, charting, and communicating data.
(A) Are you able to run the add-ins provided by Microsoft for Excel, like Analysis ToolPak and Solver?
(B) From many years ago, I recall some RefEdit problems that were related to Excel's temporary EXD files. At that time a solution was to delete all EXD files, so that the next time you start Excel a new updated version of the EXD files would be automatically created. As far as I know and based on my own experience yesterday, there's no risk in trying this solution: Quit Excel. Run the Windows 10 File Explorer. In File Explorer, in the left pane select This PC > Windows (C:), in the View ribbon check the boxes for File Name Extensions and for Hidden Items, in the Search box on the far right type "*.exd" without the quotes, and press Enter. The search may take a minute or more. Delete the two RefEdit.exd files and the MSForms.exd file. Optionally, press F5 to refresh File Explorer to verify that the EXD files no longer exist. Start Excel. Test your add-ins.
