Transient error SourceMailboxAlreadyBeingMovedTransientException has occurred. The system will retry

This keeps happening on 8 out of 10 moves. seemingly at random. Sometimes the transfer will pick up, other times it'll time out and will fail.

What can we do to fix this?

    1. The Migration Batch information

    Get-MigrationBatch | Export-CLIXML C:\Batch.xml

    1. Output on a failing Move Request and a good one seperately:

    Get-MoveRequest -Identity <Mailbox ID> | Export-CLIXML C:\Requestbad.xml

    Get-MoveRequest -Identity <Mailbox ID> | Export-CLIXML C:\Requestgood.xml

    1. Move Request Statistics on a failing Move Request:

    Get-MoveRequestStatistics -Identity <Mailbox ID> -IncludeReport | Export-CLIXML C:\RequestStatistics.xml

    The hybrid server is Version 15.0 ‎(Build 1236.3); the source server is Version 8.3 ‎(Build 83.6).

    Re: the article you sent, we don't use the Forefront product at all.

    Hi Amaca2,

    Are you in a hybrid environment and trying to move mailboxes from on-prem to Office 365? I found one article for your reference, please kindly have a check:

    If it doesn't help, could you please let me know the detailed environment in your organization? Such as which migration type you are using now and what is the version and service pack installed on the mailbox server and hybrid server?
