Hi Sharmaine,

it is not feasible to create a sub-group within a SharePoint group. SharePoint group is primarly designed to assign a specific permission level to a group of people. If a sub-group exists within the group, there might be conflicting permissions between the parent and child group.

However, if you wish to have this feature, given the situation, we suggest you submit your idea via UserVoice; this is the best way to make our products and services better for you and others.
