Sync issues between SharePoint and One Drive

Hi,

I'm testing the implementation of the sync between SharePoint and OneDrive on my employees PC and Mac.

I had no issues on implementing the sync with Mac and the files are smoothly updated. 

On the other side I consistently get the same error on mulitple PC for the syncronization between SharePoint and OneDrive. The error is the following:

we couldn't sync this library

the library can no longer be synced using this application. To sync these files, use the latest onedrive application.

It is strange because we tested with the all the three latest releases of OneDrive for business. We uninstalled all the previous versions of OneDrive and retried multiple times with no success.

Could you help us?

Hi Eric,

First, I suggest you perform the following steps to enable sync SharePoint library and OneDrive for Business library with the new OneDrive sync client.

  1. Navigate to Control panel > Programs > uninstall a program > uninstall all Microsoft OneDrive if there is one.
  2. Use Internet Explorer open this link, and perform steps in the Test SharePoint Online sync for Windows part.

    a. Download and install the latest OneDrive sync client for Windows.

    b. Download and open TeamSiteSyncPreview.reg to enable SharePoint document library sync.

    c. Restart the sync client:

If the issue persists, I would like to confirm the following information:

  1. Some screenshots of the error messages.
  2. A screenshot of the OneDrive version you are using.
  3. Do all SharePoint libraries have the same issue? Or just when you sync OneDrive for business folders
