I had shared my Microsoft One Note documents with two of my colleagues. When I try to stop sharing them by removing the users it throws an error message "The server couldn't complete this action. Error Code: 0x88ffc01a"

    Had the same issue and I just tried this method as:

    1. Enter into the One Note On-line page of the note you shared;
    2. Click the button "Share" on the right top;
    3. Select the "shared with" in the pop-up box and select "Advanced";
    4. Select the person that no longer to share with and click "Remove user permissions".
    5. You will find that the person deleted no longer found in the shared person list.

    Same error here - whenever I try to remove someone from the share, I get this message... seems like this came up recently based on Jimmy's post date.

    Microsoft - what's the resolution to this issue?

    Thanks,

    Kelly

    I am having the same issue. When I follow your recommended solution, which is just the basic cancellation of a shared notebook, I get the same error Jimmy received. Are there any other suggestions? Basically, I inadvertently shared a notebook with the wrong person. I cannot remove that person from the shared notebook.
