Mail Merge where each record uses multiple rows of a table in word

I am really struggling with a mail merge that I am trying to do in Word 2013, and have been searching blogs and threads for the past couple of hours, to no avail.

I am creating name badges, and each one incorporates a couple of different images and multiple rows of text. In order to have these all laid out as intended, and control the images, I have had to split each "label" cell into several rows and columns - thus meaning that I am now unable to use the "next record" function without confusing the system.

I have eight name tags to a page (2 x 4) but I have only managed to work out how to have two per person (i.e. can't have a different person on the left and the right of the page).

Any help is appreciated!!!

You need to insert a «Next Record» field before the «District» field on each of the "labels" EXCEPT for the first one on the sheet.

Hi Doug, thanks for your suggestion. I have just tried this again, and it makes the District & Age on right record #2 but then everything except the top line on the left is also changed to record #2.... it's like it's reading left to right, line by line. I need to figure out a way to tell Word that I want to block out each section that has the border....?

If you send me a copy of the mail merge main document, referencing this thread in the covering email message, I will investigate the issue.
