Hi,

Every time I try to shut down word it comes up with a message saying

'You cannot save while the file is in use by another process. Try saving the file with a new name.

 (Normal.dotm)'

also I'm having issues with excel. How do I uninstall and reinstall office?

Your normal.dotm seems to be corrupted

    1. Type followng in Windows Start Search box

    %appdata%\Microsoft\Templates

    1. In Templates folder, locate normal.dotm
    2. Rename this to something else say normal_old.dotm
    3. Restart Word

Do you, by chance, have OneDrive set as your user templates folder?

With Word closed, go to your user templates folder and look for a file ~ormal.dotm. If you see such a file, delete it.
