Mouse pointer vanishes

Hi,

whenever I put any parts of a text (whole paragraphs, words, it does not matter) into italics, my mouse pointer vanishes as soon as I move it over that area. As soon as I move it past that area, it reappears.

I have only had this problem for a short while (two months max.) now.

Any ideas how to solve that particular problem?

Thanks!

For some reason, this doesn't occur right now, even for italics.

    I don't get it - but thanks ;-)

    Hi,

The cursor will disappear whenever the application (Word) or the system thinks that you are typing. Also, the cursor disappears if it is pointed to a part of a document that is not a text, or if it's an object. Try to open a blank document in Word, then type any characters, and point the mouse cursor to the text and check if it does the same thing.

Your reply will be much appreciated.
