How to migrate data from Sharepoint 2016 on prem to 2019 on prem

Question

The only info I can find is how to migrate data from a Sharepoint on prem to Sharepoint online. Is there a tool to help migrate from an on prem server to another on prem server?

There is currently no official migration tool that can migrate from SP2016 to SP2019. Usually the migration method we use is database migration.

Upgrade Procedure:

1. Creating a new SharePoint Server 2019 farm
2. Copying SharePoint Server 2016 databases to the new environment
3. Upgrading databases and service applications from SharePoint 2016
4. Upgrading SharePoint Server 2016 site collections
