MS project subsequent tasks

I am busy making a planning in MS project, I have a number of tasks to be performed in succession. It is not allowed to have time between tasks. For example: Task 1 stops on 14-10-2017, then task 2 must start on 15-10-2017. How is this possible to set. When arranging it is always time for two tasks to be planned.

Thanks in advance.

    Tom1356 --

You are nicely describing task dependencies, specially the Finish-to-Start (FS) dependency.  Select the tasks that must be performed in succession and then click the Link the Selected Tasks button in the Schedule section of the Task ribbon.  This will arrange the tasks in the order you seek.  In addition, if one of the predecessor tasks slips, all of its successor tasks will slip as well, a behavior that is desirable from a project management perspective.  Hope this helps.

    Tom1356,

You state, "The problem is that task 24 will end at 8-12 and that task will only start at 11-12. This task should be done immediately afterwards."

Task 24 ends on a Friday afternoon (8Dec'17).   Its successor, Task 25, starts on Monday morning (11Dec'17).  Both have the resource "Montageploeg" assigned.  If you want Montageploeg to work over the weekend, then you must be sure that its Calendar allows it.

(There's a lot going on in that screenshot - pretty bar colors and apparent resource leveling.  It seems all are distractions from your problem.)

    Good luck, tom

    Have you leveled the resources?

Do you have leveling set to automatic?

Does the task have an actual start date? See view, tables, tracking table.

Do you have any predecessors or successors on the summaries? This can cause circular links and calculation will halt.

    Press F9 to force re-calculation.

    Dale A. Howard,

Thanks for the quick and clear response. I've added a screenshot to further explain my problem. I've already added finish-to-start to the two tasks. The problem is that task 24 will end at 8-12 and that task will only start at 11-12. This task should be done immediately afterwards.

I hope it is possible to add this.
