In a 400 page manuscript (Word 2016 for MAC) with over 500 Endnotes, the numbering sequence for my endnotes have gaps. For example, it skips from 1 to 4, later from 159 to 170, etc. I have not inserted any sections in the document. Any ideas how to fix this?
