Excel for mac only using 1 processor

Excel for mac is often slow when performing calculations with large databases and I noticed today that it says it's only using 1 processor.

Is there some way to change this to use all the processors?

I have the newest macbook pro 15 inch and it really shouldn't be this slow. It was slow on my previous 2012 MBP and I thought it might be better on this computer, but it looks like excel is the problem, not the computer.

Hi Jblahdiblah,

It is not feasible to let Excel 2016 for Mac utilize multiple processors, the calculation engine is not multi-threaded.

Given this situation, we suggest you vote for this requirement in Excel for Mac UserVoice, which is the best way to let related product group understands user's feedback and help improve our products and services.

Thanks for your understanding.

Joanne

MSFT is a garbage company. I pay for Office 365 the same price as Windowers but I do not have the same service by MSFT (multithreaded excel) in my Macs as Windows users. It is unacceptable.

This is absolutely unacceptable.  Not having multithreaded capabilities for something this intensive in unreal, and leads to a horrible user experience.

When should enterprises using Excel, expect to have multithreaded abilities on Excel for Mac?

This could not more obviously be an attempt to keep heavy Excel users burdened with a Windows machine.
