My Excel crash every time I do a Chart with about 2500 lines

this is taken from the event Viewer:

Faulting application name: EXCEL.EXE, version: 16.0.8431.2079, time stamp: 0x59b25d79

Faulting module name: TextInputFramework.dll, version: 10.0.15063.502, time stamp: 0xcfc381c4

Exception code: 0xc0000005

Fault offset: 0x0003086d

Faulting process ID: 0x1354

Faulting application start time: 0x01d34358cd53bccc

Faulting application path: C:\Program Files (x86)\Microsoft Office\Root\Office16\EXCEL.EXE

If I do a Chart with 200 lines of less no problem

any Suggestions ?

Hi Jesper,

From the screenshot, it appears the computer has low memory. Please close other applications, and then press and hold Ctrl key, double click on  Excel to open it in safe mode and check if there is any improvement.

If the issue still occurs, you may consider installing 64 bit Office. Here are the steps:

  1. Follow the Option 2 in this article Uninstall Office from a PC to completely uninstall Office 2016 with the easy fix tool.
  2. Restart your computer.
  3. Click Other installs under Install Office 2016 in Office 365 Portal > Advanced under Version and after 32-bit to download and install 64 bit version.

Thanks,

Tina

    Hi Jesper,

Please update the Office by clicking File > Account > Update Options > Update Now and check if there is any improvement.

If the issue persists, could you please provide the following information to help better understand your situation?

    1. Has the chart with about 2500 lines worked properly before this Office version and this Office version?
    2. A screenshot of the error message if there is one.
    3. Does the issue occur to all the workbooks with the chart of over 2500 lines?
    4. Detailed steps and related screenshots about how you create the chart with 2500 lines. Please also provide the sample workbook via Private Message.

    Thanks,

    Tina
