Issue with EOP connectors

Anonymous

Hi All,

I am trying to create send and receive connectors in EOP for my on premise server and am getting this error (on both inbound and outbound connector)

Failed to validate connector settings due to an internal system issue. Please try again later.

Anyone dot any ideas what this could be.

Thanks

    Hello Mark.

Please let me know if you can solved the issue with connector from On-premises to Office 365, I have the same issue although I've tried both FQDN and IP address of my Server but no luck.

    Thank you so much.

Just in case some other poor soul has this same issue with this crap. I fixed the EOP to Internal connector by using a domain name instead of a IP for the smarthost. The dialog clearly says you can use a IP so I have no idea why it does not work.

Still cant make a internal to EOP connector.

I have a support call with Microsoft logged for this one. I will update once I hear back form them.

    Hi Mark,

Please check the following if you get a connector failure.

    • Click Back to see the smart host entry and check for any simple typographical mistakes.
    • Check the firewall in your email server (an on-premises server) to make sure that port 25 is open.
    • Check that your firewall configuration does not block IP addresses from Office 365. The IP address ranges can be found at Exchange Online Protection IP addresses.

    Thanks,

    Lance
