    Hello,

since that character is not showing in the formula bar, check teh length of the cell

    =Len(b2)

    That should return a 3.

If you click into the formula bar and hit the "End" key on your keyboard, where is the cursor? If it is right next to the "c", with no gap, the thing you see is not a character. It could be a drawing object.

Hit F5 to open the GoTo dialog, click Special, tick "objects" and hit OK. Is anything selected? Is the funny character selected? If so, hit the Del key to delete the selected objects.

Let me know how this goes. If nothing helps, share a copy of the file. You can upload a sample file to the Public folder of your OneDrive, share it and post a link here. You can access your OneDrive with the same account you use for this forum.
