Missing Shared Folder

We had a office shared folder that is missing and I need to know how to find and recover it.  I don't see it in the Recycle Bin.  I would normally access it through the One Drive, Shared With Me and it was a folder under that.

    Hi Regan,

Based on your description, I need to confirm that if you remove the file from shared list.

If so, I would like to explain that that if you remove the file from shared list, the file wasn’t deleted, and you couldn’t find it in the Recycle Bin.

You still can access the file from link on your email which is sent to you when the file is shared with you.

If not, I suggest you contact the owner of the file to check if the file stopped sharing with you.

If the issue still exists, could you please provide the following information?

    1. What did you set before the file missed?
    2. Can you access the file now?

    Thanks,

    Qing

    Hi Regan,

I suggest you try using PowerShell commands to check if you can find the personal site:

    1. Download and install the SharePoint Online Management Shell from this article.
    2. Launch SharePoint Online Management Shell (search and right click the "SharePoint Online Management Shell" and choose "Run as Administrator"), connect to SharePoint Online via the following commands using your Office 365 global admin account and list all sites in your tenant:

    Connect-SPOService -Url https://contoso-admin.sharepoint.com

(replace contoso with your tenant domain)

    Get-SPOSite -Identity https://contoso.sharepoint.com

    Get-SPODeletedSite -Identity http://contoso.sharepoint.com/sites/marketing

If you can find the site, please run the command to restore the personal site:

    Restore-SPODeletedSite -Identity siteURL

If not, we suggest you can have a try to contact the phone support to see if they can help to get the data back:

Contact support for business products - Admin Help
