Restart or Debug OneNote Issue

Recently, I received a new work computer and i have been using OneNote 10.  There is a key combination that seems to cause a problem and causes OneNote to restart or want to be "debugged" which winds up restarting the program anyway.  Then, upon restart, I have to reload or recover the page, which typically only reflects a loss a few clicks of data.  Here are the keystrokes that always result in this error.

Backspace followed by Delete button.

Sometimes I'm trying to delete a word I wrote, but I'll hit backspace in lieu of Delete.  If I follow keystrokes in this order, OneNote will always crash.

I'm not sure what other information is needed to determine the source of this problem, but any assistance would be appreciated.  Thank you!

    Hi Leiohana,

I need additional details to address your concern with using Backspace and Delete button in OneNote. Kindly answer the following:

    • Which Windows 10 build are you using? Click here for instructions on how to find your Windows 10 build.
    • Are you getting any error messages? If yes, please provide us a screenshot.
    • Is the issue happening to other Office applications or is it only isolated in OneNote?
    • Is the issue happening on a specific note?
    • Did you make any changes before this issue happened?
    • Is your computer connected to a domain?

In the meantime, check Office for any updates.

I will be waiting for your response.
