Onenote android auto copy and paste randomly.

I use one note across my android devices. My issue seems to come up when I am modifying a page that I have already taken notes on.

I will click on a section, type a word or letter. Then I will click somewhere else, and with the first press of a button on my keyboard( space, a letter, delete, a dash symbol) it will first paste the last word I typed and then continue with whatever button I pressed.

Is this a onenote android app issue, or a Samsung keyboard issue? If it is onenote, how do I fix it? Thank you.

Thank you for your suggestions. Unfortunately neither of them worked. I signed out, closed the app, opened it back up, problem still persists. I uninstalled the app, reinstalled, problem still persists. I even checked all my different notebooks, even the default notebook, and the problem is present everywhere in the app.

We appreciate your response. Try resetting the OneNote credentials by following these steps:

    1. Open OneNote.
    2. Tap the Menu icon in the upper-right corner of the screen.
    3. Choose Settings.
    4. Tap Account.
    5. Tap Sign Out.
    6. Click OK.
    7. Tap the recent apps button, look for OneNote and swipe it sideways to close it.
    8. Start OneNote and sign in to your account.

If the issue persists, uninstall and reinstall OneNote.

Let us know if you need additional assistance.

    It happens on my phone:

    SM-G930V

    Kernel version 3.18.31

    OneNote app version: 16.0.9001.2134

    My Tablet:

    SM-T820

    Kernel version 3.18.31-12165571

    OneNote app version: 16.0.9001.2134

    Both devices are

    Android version 7.0

Happens in every note. New or old. I have not tried it on a computer with a mouse.

I tried the Microsoft word app on my devices and it does not seem to occur on there. Only onenote. thank you.

    Hi Jamin,

We need additional details to address your concern with using OneNote app for Android. Kindly answer the following:

    • Which version of Android operating system is installed on your device?
    • Which version of OneNote app are you using?
    • Is it happening to other Office applications?
    • Is it happening to a specific note?
    • Did you make any changes before this issue happened?

In the meantime, check OneNote for any updates. Open your notes in OneNote Online and check if the issue persists.

We will be waiting for your response.
