Excel QueryTable Refresh stopped working after Office update

After last Office update, QueryTable.Refresh function stopped working on my mac.

Here is the way how I use the refresh: Worksheets("xxx").QueryTables.Item("yyy").Refresh

VBA throws 1004 error: Application-defined or object-defined error.

This happens only when Background refresh is disabled.

Any way to make it working again?

Thanks

There's something wrong with Background refresh setting in the update. Please click the Smile button in Excel to let Microsoft know you are affected by this problem. Thanks.

    Hi Alex,

To have a better understanding about your scenario, please share with me more info about this issue:

    1. How do you create your query and which kind of database you are using?
    2. The version number of your Office(Excel>About Excel) and OS(Apple menu>About this Mac). Screenshot of the error message you received.
    3. Does this issue happen to all queries? Can you refresh your query after you enable Excel background refresh?
    4. Does this issue happen when you create a new query?

    Thanks,

    Neo
