I am using Windows 10 with Excel 2016 Professional Plus MSO 16.0.4549.1000, 64-bit. (This is not a Home Program version)

Apparently there is an option in Excel to change the Edit Default Layout for Pivot tables (File, Options, Advanced, Data)

but in my Excel this Option is missing.

How can I make this available?

Unfortunately, the Default PivotTable option is an Office 365 subscriber feature, so it's not going to show up in your perpetual version.

Has anyone found an answer to this.  I have the exact same issue.  I want to set my default pivot table, but I do NOT have the option under data.  Was this option remove with Excel 2016?

Ok, I went through your suggested steps and did a repair of Office.

Of course, nothing has changed. The Excel option is still not available.

Thank you for waisting an hour of my time.

    Any other suggestions?

    Regards

    Roni

    Hi Anna

    Thank you for your instructions.

Before I go through them can you please confirm that the"Edit Default Layout" Option for Pivot tables is really available in the Version of Excel I am using.

I somehow suspect that this Option may only be available in Excel 365.

    Regards

    Roni Wullschleger
