Data in Excel Spreadsheet Doesn't Print

Anonymous

When I go to print a spreadsheet, it looks fine in "preview."  However, when I print, all that shows up are the borders around the cells and/or shade cells.  The data within the cells doesn't print!  Experienced the same problem with previously created Excel files...no data.  Word docs print just fine so it's not the printer.  HELP!!

    Jerry...

Thanks so much for your willingness to help me!  I truly appreciate it as I am frustrated beyond words.

    As for your suggestions...

    1. I copied the data to a new spreadsheet...and the same thing happened...the borders printed but no data
    2. I have tried printing several old files that I know have printed just fine in the past...and the same thing happened...the borders printed but no data
    3. I saved my new spreadsheet as a PDF file as you suggested...print preview looked just fine...nothing printed!!

    ARRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRGH!!  So what now?

    Thanks again,

    Vince

    Hi Vicent,

In order to avoid the effects of third-party software, please try Excel in Safe mode ( WIN+R> excel /safe >drop the your file to Excel), and check if this file works while in safe mode.

How about change the font to see the outcome?

If you have any further questions at this tme, please feel free to contact me.

    Regards,

    Jerry

    Hi Vicent,

Based on your description, this seems to be caused by the cell settings. Please check the following methods to see the outcome:

    1. Try to copy the data in excel and paste it in a new spreadsheet and try to print and check if it works fine.
    2. Does this issue occur with all the Excel files or only with specific file?

    3. Please try save this file as pdf file, and check if the data can be printed or not.

Feel free to tell me the result.

    Regards,

    Jerry
