Edit data behind a chart in powerpoint

Hello,

I have a powerpoint file which contains 5 slides, all of which are charts. To get to the info behind them I simply click on the slide - in chart tools, click design which then gives you the option to edit data. On my first slide this option is greyed out therefore I am now unable to get to all the info behind the chart. Slides 2-5 are all ok and give me the option to edit the data.

This has only recently happened in approx. week 47. Does anyone know how to rectify as my IT dept don't seem to have an answer?

    Hi Stuart,

I believe you are describing the issue identified in this support article.

    Look for the item:

    • Problems editing charts after update [WORKAROUND]

Can you follow the guidance there and let us know if that allows you to edit the chart?
