Word Spellcheck mass errors

So Microsoft word has been spell checking practically every word from the second paragraph of my document even though the grammar and spelling is right. The language is already set to "English (United States)", and I've tried to toggle that between the UK one but the red squiggly lines do not disappear. This only started to happen to a few of my documents this week. Help!

Since language is a text property in Word, you will have to fix this for affected documents as follows: Select all the text in the document, for example by pressing Ctrl+A. Click Review | Language | Set Proofing Language to display the Language dialog box. Choose the desired language and click OK (that is, do not click Set as Default, because the default language is already correct on your system).

    Hi sure!

    • Which Office version are you using? - Microsoft Office 365 ProPlus, Version 1701
    • Does the issue occur on other documents? - Only certain ones. New documents and older ones don't seem to have a problem.
    • Can you tell us the Windows version you're using? - Windows 10 Enterprise. Version 1607

    Hi Jarrold,

For us to isolate your concern with Word spelling and grammar checker, we would like to ask for additional information. Please provide the following:

    • Does the issue occur on other documents?
    • Can you tell us the Windows version you're using? To check, go to Settings> System > About.
