paste text box in excel chart

I am trying to paste a text box on an excel chart.  I have tried to paste it multiple ways and it will not display....I have 2 text boxes on one chart and need to copy it to 10+ other charts.  I have also tried using excel cells and copying them into the chart and no luck.  I am using excel 2013.  I would prefer to use excel cells with conditional formatting, but would be ok with text boxes if I can figure out how to copy and paste onto the charts.  The charts are all contained in a single excel workbook on separate sheets.

thank you!

    Hi,

A text box lets you add text anywhere in your file. You can add, copy, or delete it in your Microsoft Office applications. Regarding your concern, you should be able to paste a text box to any cells and drag them to an Excel chart. Have you installed the latest Office updates on your computer? There's a possibility that you need to update your Excel app to make this work. To update your Office, you may refer to this link for the steps.

If you still encounter the same issue after you install the latest Office updates on your computer, we suggest that you launch Excel in safe mode. You may refer to this link for the steps.

Let us know if that works for you.
