I have an Excel File and I am wanting to know how to collapse text in cells. I currently have text in B2 and it is fairly long. I would like the text to collapse / shorten so that it only stays in B2. Is there a way to do this. Any help is greatly appreciated.

Hi Firstcapitalfirearms,

Based on your description, you would like to collapse text to keep the text in cell size in Excel. I would like to suggest you use the Wrap Text feature in Excel. In this case, it appears on multiple lines in a cell. You can format the cell so the text wraps automatically, or enter a manual line break. You can find more details in this article: Wrap text in a cell
