Hi,

I have created a "Team Site" on SharePoint online. When I edit a site page, I am not able to view any option of adding a web part on the page. All I can see are following options:

I believe there are some features that need to be activated on this site collection. Does anybody know which features need to be activated here to enable web parts on the page?

    Hi NitinGoswami,

Based on your description, when you want to add web parts in SharePoint team site, in the web part list, you cannot see the web parts. We’d like to confirm some information.

    1. Does this problem happen to all the team sites you have? Can you add web parts in the existing team site? And please try creating a new team site then check whether you can add web parts on the newly created team site.
    2. From the screenshot you provided, the list may be stuck for some reason, so could you try changing to another Internet environment, then refresh the website and check whether the list is updated.

    Regards,

    Tisky

    Hey Tisky,

Thanks for your response. I was facing this issue with Chrome browser but it worked Firefox.

    Thanks,

    Nitin

I think Tisky is misunderstanding your question and has marked it as the answer when it clearly isn't. It seems pretty obvious what you're seeing is Msft's idea of a "modern" way to add web parts in the modern page design. The way people are used to adding web parts has been removed from this modern design. To be sure, what happens when you add one of the choices in the drop down in your screenshot?

Actually, I wasn't able to see the complete list of the web parts on clicking the add button and I was seeing only the options specified in the image above in Chrome browser. But when I tried this on Firefox, I was able to see other web parts.

Ah, so this is something Msft does indeed need to address. O365 is supposed to be compatible with Chrome.
