    Kcoppo,

You might also want to do a search for Project 2016 crashes on the Project MSDN forum to see if you find any nuggets of wisdom there.

    Kcoppo,

Okay so you're a long time user and therefore unfortunately familiar with Project's "gremlins", some are bugs that get fixed, some are bugs that don't get fixed and some are just strange behavior.

I have heard about crash issues with Project 2016 and some have been resolved. Since you're fully updated, there's not much more you can do. If you're operating over a network, the chance of a network glitch corrupting your data is of course greater than operating locally on your PC. The best I can suggest is to save often.

Is it still crashing or was it just once out of the blue? If it still occurs regularly, try to isolate what you were doing when it crashed. That may help to identify a culprit and then we can go from there.

    Kcoppo,

Yes it's disappointing that no one from Microsoft has responded, they seem to be jumping into virtually every other post on this forum.

Those of us who actually use Project and respond on this forum do not work for nor are we associated with Microsoft, we are simply volunteers who give of their free time to help users. The failure log you posted is likely well beyond the scope of what we can address, however if you can cite a specific scenario that caused the crash, then we may be able to offer assistance.

From the log it appears you are using Project 2016. Is it fully updated with the latest cumulative update? The latest update is July 2017 which will give you Winproj.exe 16.0.4561.1000. If you do not have the version, run Windows Update. Note, if you are running a subscription version of Project (i.e. Project Online or Project 365) they are automatically updated.
