Hi David,
I had the same issue trying to open synced OneDrive office files in Windows 11. It seems to be an issue with Office365 credentials and OneDrive (not so sure but maybe only for OneDrive for Work/School accounts).
Please, try to reset your Office credentials, doing these steps:
- Open an Office365 app - Word, Excel, PowerPoint;
- Sign Out the app with your Microsoft account (or Work/School account);
- Go to the Start Menu and search for the Control Panel;
- In the Control Panel window, open the Credential Manager and delete all saved credentials (you can do a backup just in case you would need it);
- Open the Run dialog (press Windows Key + R) and type the text below into the dialog window and press enter: %localappdata%\Microsoft\Office\16.0
- Delete all folders ending with the word "Cache";
- Open an Office365 app and Sign In using your Microsoft/Work/School account;
