Microsoft Excel won't start.

Dear people,

I have been having issues a couple of days with Microsoft Excel that comes with my office 365 package, the issue is that whenever I press on a file for excel from my e-mail(Outlook from the same 365 package) or on a localfile on the PC or one rom my dropbox nothing loads, the program starts up but it's all grey and columns as in the picture below.

I tried to use the repairtool from the controlpanel without any success. I don't want to uninstall office because I have 14 inboxes in my outlook which I really don't want to add manually again(I recently just did this because Outlook messed up a month ago)

Is there anyway around this so that I won't have too re-install the program?

Best wishes, Daniel.

Your Excel app may have an issue with its configuration that is why it only shows a gray page when you attempt to open an Excel file. We suggest that you download and run the Microsoft Office Configuration Analyzer Tool. The tool will show you what is causing the issue and it will also show you what you need to do to resolve the issue.

We'll be waiting for the outcome.

    Dear support,

I assume this is the box you meant in your previous answer? It was empty when i checked.

I noticed something else, if i Open excell, then choose file->open then I can open any of my excell files.

But if i click on file when the program is not started(From the dropbox and local harddrive) I still get the empty screen.

A corrupted Excel system file may be the cause of the issue. We recommend that you run the Online Repair tool to resolve the issue. To do this, follow the steps found in this article.

If the issue still persist, your Excel may be opening a different file when you attempt to access one of your Excel files. To make sure that Excel is not opening a different file, follow these steps:

    1. Open Excel.
    2. Click File.
    3. On the left pane, select Options.
    4. On the Excel Options window, select Advanced.
    5. Locate the General section.
    6. Make sure that the text box beside the At startup, open all files in: is blank.
    7. Click OK.
    8. Check if you'll see the data inside your Excel files.

    Keep us posted.

    Hello,

I followed the steps in the link you gave me and I still get the same error.

I don't want to have to re-install the program because I have 13 inboxes in my Outlook and it's quite a painto have to manually add all of them if i Remove the office package.

Is there any other solution to my excell problem?
