I just recently updated my office applications to the newest version, and I am missing 4 themes in the PowerPoint Application. How can I find/get them? Important as I need for school.

Hi Abigail,

Are you missing the default themes or your customized themes?

The default save location of the customized themes is under ~/Library/Group Containers/UBF8T346G9.Office/User Content/themes. You can go there to see if there’s any customized themes there.

If you have a copy of a presentation using the theme, for example, ask a classmate to send you a presentation using the theme you want, you can open the presentation then Design> click the drop down arrow under the themes window > save current theme. After that, the theme should be added to your theme folder. When you create a new presentation, you can use it. Or you can directly ask your classmate send you .thmx them files to you.

You also can use Spotlight to search .thmx files to check if you can find any theme files on your Mac.

If you lost default PowerPoint themes, please provide us the information below:

  1. The screenshot about the default themes you have.
  2. The Office version. You can go to PowerPoint > About PowerPoint to check it. For example, 16.9.
  3. The OS version. 10.12.6 or 10.13?

Thanks,

Rena
