OneNote Notebook splitting?

My OneNote 2016 notebook has multiple sections/tabs which have recently split into these weird section groups calling themselves _00F80032-7AF6-433D-A9DC-6FC647C067AD and other random strings. There are at least 15 or these section groups with the random strings and they all say they're empty. However, when I go to the general search bar for the notebook, I can find pages and these seem to pop into one of the section groups. It almost feels as though some of my sections have split. Just wondering how to fix this?

Example of what it looks like.

    Hello Cheng,

It is possible that your notebook got corrupted that's why your notes were split into sections. That being said, we will be performing some troubleshooting steps to isolate and to resolve this concern. However, before we proceed, we'd like to know more about this concern. Kindly answer the following questions:

    • Did you notice any changes to the computer or to the OneNote app prior to this concern?
    • What troubleshooting steps have you tried so far?
    • Do the said sections show when accessing your notebook online?

Meanwhile, we advise creating a new notebook and moving your notes to it. Once done, see if the new notebook will encounter the same issue. If not, then we can conclude that your old notebook got corrupted. In case you are still experiencing the issue even in the new notebook, we highly recommend performing an online repair via Control Panel. Doing so, will fix any issues you are experiencing when using any of your Office apps. The instructions on how to do so are posted in this article.

Feel free to post back should you have further concern.
