Excel Save As dropdown menu missing

My drop down menu is missing.  I am unable to save files with other extensions (.pdf, .csv, etc).  Is there a fix for this?  This only happened recently, and rebooting the computer has not resolved it.  It's in Excel 2011 for Mac.  I also don't have the info to do an uninstall/reinstall and would prefer not to have to pay for an upgrade on software I use sparingly.

Thanks.

Please go to Excel> About Excel in the main menu & reply with the Version info shown there. Version 14.7.7 was the final update for that release of Mac Office.

Also. please indicate which version of macOS you're using on your Mac.

    Hi Jenni,

I'd like to explain that support is ending for Office 2011 for Mac. If you are using Office 365 subscriptions, we suggest you upgrade to Office 2016 for Mac for getting the latest features and more support.

For the issue mentioned in your thread, below are some my personal suggestions.

    1. Use Mac safe mode to troubleshoot the issue.

2.Create a new Mac accountto see if the issue is related to a corrupted user profile.

    1. Completely remove the Office suite referring to this article. And then download Office 2011 for Mac installer from this page. Check if there are some improvements.

    Thanks for your understanding.

    Tim
