Hello Everyone!

I have several virtual machines in BrazilSouth region, and i need them in this region for some laws constraints. But my VMs are getting IPs from US, even if i create a Public ip in brazilsouth, i recive one from US.
I Can't create a NAT Gateway for every vnet i have. Does anyone knows some kind of solution for this problem? It's very annoyind and it is impacting my production env..

Thanks

Interesting. Public IPs are region specific. Not sure how you are receiving IP from different region. please share the screenshot of public ip location from azure portal.

Hello everyone, sorry for the delay. I still have the issue, let me be more clear to you. I validade de region of these ip address in two ways. First, one of my systems, consumes a brazilian government web service wich only accept connections from valid brazilian ip address. In that case i would not be able to consume it, by ip geolocation restrictions... because of that i decided to investigate a little bit more and noticed that the ip address provided by azure are in 20.x.x.x subnet, which is very strange for brazil, and then i consulted those ip's in this website: https://www.ip2location.com/ that tell me what i suspected, those ips are from US.

    One example occurring right now:

    Hello @Matheus Lisboa ,

Thank you for providing the details.

Microsoft publicly publishes a geolocation data file every month, which is utilized by many geolocation providers. [The range 20.206.64.0/18 (IP range : 20.206.64.0 - 20.206.127.255) is shown in this file as being in Brazil and IP address 20.206.76.191 is from this range]. The RIR registration is secondary and not normally a factor in the IP geolocation as considered by products/services.

Kindly let us know if the above helps or you need further assistance on this issue.

    hello @GitaraniSharma-MSFT

I have a similar issue where my IP address 89.30.87.27 (which is part of 89.30.87.0/24) is geolocated in China whereas it's been declared and used in Hong-Kong.
I don't find my IP range (89.30.87.0/24) in the geolocation data file you mentioned above.
    Can you add it, please?

You can find more IP ranges of my company here: https://geofeed.bsonetwork.net/geofeed.csv

    Best regards,
    Benoît
