What are the two red circled icons on the fonts? What do they mean?

    It means they are old-style raster/bitmap fonts rather than vector fonts such as TrueType/OpenType. You would see this kind of font if you installed an old-style dot matrix printer such as an Epson FX80. (versions of Windows before around 3.1 did not have any support for vector fonts at all and used "bitmap fonts" for the screen and for those printers that had no font support of their own).
