What version of Word/Excel are you using. There is a "File" tab on the left end of all MS Office products. Are you sure you are using Office?

Are you using Mac or Windows version of Office.

In Windows version - To reach to Account page where you can update your Office, you can use following Shortcut -

    ALT+F+D

    ALT+F will invoke File page

ALT+F+D+R will make you reach Update now.

    Hi

If you are using windows follow the next few steps

Please try the following solution of repairing your office package:

The first thing you can do is to navigate and select the start button 2) Type in control panel 3) Navigate to "Programs". 4) Then select "Uninstall a Program" 5) Then find your office installation and right click (Usually say Microsoft Office 2016 or something similar) 6) Select change 7) Now a window will pop asking for "Quick Repair" or "Online Repair" 8) Select the Quick Repair option and reboot 9) If the problem continues select the Online Repair option and reboot

Please let me know if this helped or not, i will happily assist you further.

For Windows versions, the File tab was introduced in Word 2010. If you are running Word 2007 for Windows, there will be an Office button instead. Click that button to display the Open, Save, etc. commands.

If you are running Word 2003 or older versions, you'll see the File menu instead.

Word 2010 and later have the File tab, as illustrated below:
