Processes in Microsoft 365 for setting up Office apps, redeeming product keys, and activating licenses.
When MS released Office 2013, they "improved" the license terms to allow install on only one machine. Why, bottom line, was, ... the bottom line. Putting it bluntly, it was a cash grab. They doubled the price of the bundle, without changing the price, and without most reporters noticing. Ultimately, the idea was to "encourage" users to switch to the then new Office 365 subscription (which ultimately brings in more money than one-time licenses).
