Hello,

I have a very specific issue that I can't figure out. I have a laptop connected to a Samsung touch screen display.

I am trying to access a hyperlink which is inserted into a shape/object/button from an excel sheet opened on SharePoint from IE.

It's not the desktop application but the web based browser version of excel.

The hyperlink works when you click with the mouse and tap on the touchscreen from the desktop application. The issue is that from the web based spreadsheet I am unable to open the hyperlink via the touchscreen. I can click with the mouse. When I long press it highlights and shows that it see the URL but provides no option to select. I can open a regular hyperlink from the touchscreen but not a hyperlink within an object.

What really confuses me is that I thought I found the solution yesterday. I had to check the pen option in advanced settings to get it working but not it's not working with that option selected.

I am using Windows 10 with office 2016.

    Hi Nike,

Based on my test, it is not feasible to access inserted hyperlink in shape in Excel Online. Given this situation, we welcome and encourage you to share your ideas through User Voice. Your providing feedback is the best way to perfect our products and services. We appreciate your valuable insights.

As a workaround, you can access the hyperlink by clicking the shape with the mouse in Excel.

    Regards,
