Alamofire.AFError error 3

Our company uses SharePoint on iPads with the app. Ever since we updated the app last week we've been receiving the error message Alamofire.AFError error 3. It seems that this has been a 'known issue' for some time now but I have not seen any solutions. Tried removing the app and reinstalling it. Is there anything we can do?

    Hi JanineTCD,

Please update your iOS version to 11.1 and SharePoint app to 3.6, check if this resolves the issue.

If the issue persists, please try the following suggestions:

    1. If you are using OneDrive app, check if you can see the Frequent sites
    2. For SharePoint app; Change to another network
      • Click me> Clear account cache>sign out
      • Go to iPad settings>SharePoint app>reset
      • Re-login to SharePoint app

    Thanks,

    Neha

    Hi Neha,

We are using SharePoint online in the app version 3.5.0. We get the error on all sites as soon as the app is opened. Here's a screenshot.

    Hi JanineTCD,

Could you please provide the following information for further investigation?

    1. Please let us know about the iOS version you are using.
    2. Also, please check with your colleague, see if they are getting the same error.
    3. Do you have multi factor authentication (MFA) set to required?

Meanwhile, please use the browser to access SharePoint site on your iPad. I’ll further test on my end and will let you know.

    Thanks,

    Neha

    Hi JanineTCD,

Are you using SharePoint online or SharePoint On-Prem?

This is known issue for SharePoint On-Prem. According to this article, if your SharePoint environment is on-premises and you use an iOS or Android device, the SharePoint mobile app works best for users working on intranet sites while joined to a corporate network.

You can also check this UserVoice link for information.

If you are using SharePoint online, please provide the following information:

    1. A screenshot of the error.
    2. Where and when do you get the error?
    3. Are you getting the error in all the sites?
    4. SharePoint app version.

    Thanks,

    Neha
