Opening an old Access database file

I have an old database created in dBase II or III 30 years ago. About 15 years ago, I was able to import it into Microsoft Access and save it. It says it is an Access 2000 file. I now would like to see the database again, but only have the latest Access 2016 to use. But I get this message: "Cannot open database created with a previous version of your application." Is there any reasonable way to do this, or is the data lost forever?

Thank you for your prompt reply and offer. Apparently MS added the ability to import the old format database into Access 2016 very recently, so after I updated the program I was able to import it.

This table, http://www.devhut.net/2017/05/16/access-database-file-compatibility-table/ would indicate that you should be able open an Access 2000 mdb in Access 2016.

If you would like, contact me through the link in my signature, and I will convert it a 2016 accdb for you.
