Consolidate Track Changes Comments

My boss has asked me to consolidate all comments and updates done on Track Changes.  In other words, she wants to see a listing of JUST THE COMMENTS AND UPDATES, and not the entire document.

Is there such a a feature that will allow that?

See my posts of 3 November 2014 and 5 September 2015 in:

Those posts contain macros for exporting tracked changes and comments, respectively, to an Excel workbook.

    Hi Eva,

You can try Jay's or Macropod's suggestions to see whether they meet your boss's need.

    Thanks,

    Rena

The Reviewing pane is fine for looking at revisions and comments on screen, but I don't think it's what the boss wants.

You can print just the revisions and comments, on paper or in a PDF file. Open the document with the comments and updates. Go to File > Print. Click the first dropdown under the Settings heading (the one that usually says Print All Pages) and select List of Markup.

The result looks something like this:

    Hi Eva,

Please follow the steps below to see if this meets your boss’s need:

    1. Go to Review tab>click “Reviewing Pane”
    2. In the Revisions, it will show all the insertions, deletions, moves, formatting and comments and the details of them.

    Thanks,

    Rena
